Définition :
Débitmètre à effet de paroi dans lequel un jet plan, débouchant dans une atmosphère de fluide au repos limité par une paroi proche, tend à s'attacher à cette paroi par suite de la dépression due à l'entraînement du fluide ambiant, deux lames métalliques stationnaires disposées en biseau créant un courant en sens inverse qui force le jet à dévier sur la paroi opposée.

Flowmeter operating on the Coanda effect in which a jet from a two-dimensional nozzle passes into a diffuser such that the pressure of the fluid between the jet and the wall is lower than its surroundings; at the exit of the nozzle are two control ports, one on either side of the nozzle; the passage of flow from the adjacent control port forces the jet to switch and attach to the opposite diffuser wall.
