Light coloured circular area with a small central hole observed on etching.

Note :

Sun spots are caused by dust particles which keep the carbon tissue out of contact with the screen. On etching a light coloured circular area is observed where the screen lines have thickened with a small central hole where the light has been stopped by a dust speck.
