A method which allows to reproduce a toned picture on a block through a screen which breakes the half-tones into small dots of various sizes.
Method of photomechanical reproduction in which originals are photographed with a halftone screen, which translate details and tones in the negative in the form of a geometric and varying dot formation, said negative then printed on sensitized copper or zinc and the resulting image subjected to etching to bring the individual dots to the required relief for successful letter press printing.Termes :
