A duplicate plate made by the electrolitic process, for printing by letterpress.

A curved or flat duplicate printing plate (the original of which is halftone, line engraving, type or condition) made by the electrotyping process, consisting of a copper or a nickel-and ropper shell, (sometimes faced with a coating of chromium) backed up with an alloy of lead, tin and antimoney, known as electrotype metal.
