Définition :
Réflexe automatique obtenu en effleurant avec le bout de l'index l'angle de la commissure buccale du nouveau-né.
Notes :
L'enfant commence par ouvrir largement la bouche pour happer le doigt et en suit les déplacements verticaux et horizontaux par un mouvement de rotation, d'élévation ou d'abaissement de la tête.
À l'inverse de la réaction des quatre points cardinaux, un pincement de l'oreille induit un mouvement adverse de la tête, qui tourne dans une direction opposée à celle du stimulus.
