A shallow bowl or deep plate having a flat or almost flat cover provided with a distinctive disc-shaped finial.
Note :
As a rule, it was provided with two horizontal handles attached to the side of the bowl. It was regarded as a proper wedding gift and was used to hold cosmetics, trinkets and hot dishes.
