Feldspath potassique transparent à translucide, incolore ou blanc, gris, jaune, rougeâtre ou brunâtre.
Notes :
Le terme orthose décrivait autrefois le groupe de feldspaths. Ses variétés gemmologiques sont l'adulaire et la pierre de lune. Elle est dimorphe de la microcline.
