  Définition

  Ratio of the magnetic flux density to the magnetizing force H. The absolute permeability of free space, μ₀, in the electromagnetic system of units is unity. The relative permeability of a material or medium is the ratio of the flux density produced by a given magnetizing force to that produced in a vacuum the same magnetizing force.
