  Définition

  The graph of a time series with the series measured on the vertical scale, and time measured on the horizontal scale. The distance between scale points on the time scale represents the lapse of time rather than periods, so that lines drawn from the calibration marks of the time scale should represent either periods or points of time for rate-of-flow figures and point-of-time figures, respectively; the plotted dots thus fall on the lines and not between them.
