Définition :
Système comprenant un dispositif absorbant ou réfléchissant, orientable de telle façon que le rayonnement solaire direct soit réfléchi ou absorbé en un endroit donné, quelle que soit la position de la terre pendant le jour.
Note :
Le dispositif est presque toujours un miroir et on emploie parfois le terme d'héliostat pour le miroir orientable lui-même.

A system that orientates an absorber or a mirror so that direct solar radiation is absorbed at or reflected on a fixed position regardless of the position of the earth during daylight hours.
Note :
The mirror version is the more general and the term "heliostat" is sometimes used to describe the orientable mirror alone.
