  Vinyl plastics: Synthetic organic thermoplastics with wide applications.
  
  A family of plastics within which is an extensive group of resins of which polyvinyl chloride is the most important. All are thermoplastic materials produced by polymerisation or copolymerisation of vinyl monomers.

  Note :

  Vinyl plastics include methyl methacrylate and acrylate, styrene, vinylidene chloride, vinyl acetate and chloride, acrylonitrile and a number of other polymers typified by a carbon double bond in the monomer molecule.
