A hight-octane aviation fuel (100 or more), made by thermal alkylation of ethylene and isobutance at hight temperature and pressure, 480 to 540 °C (900 to 1000 °F) and 5000 to 8000 psi.
Note :
It was developed during World War II for military use. Its formula is C2H5C(CH3)3, a branched-chain paraffin. It is extremely flammable and must be kept away from heat sources.
