Date :Définition
A term used to describe materials that can be prepared in a form in which the crystals are much smaller than in the natural product.
Note :
Paraffin-like waxes derived from lubricating oil wastes and residual oil refining are the most important products in commercial use; they have much higher viscosity and penetration value than normal paraffin wax. They are used in adhesives, paper sizing, carbon paper, cosmetic creams, and many other products. Chlorophyll has a type of structure that is naturally microcrystalline. Some high polymers are now being prepared in this form, including cellulose and nylon. The crystals range in size from 2.5 to 500 millimicrons.
