Auteur : Thériault, Paule,Note :
The term jet flap came about when it was thought that there was a strict analogy between a mechanical solid flap and the jet effects /.../. This is only partly justified in the general sense that any velocity down-stream of an aerofoil may induce a lift on it, but otherwise the analogy is questionable and not helpful. The term /.../ is now in general use.
