Définition :
Mise sous forme liquide du gaz naturel.
Note :

The conversion of a gas to the liquid state.
Note :
Natural gas consists mostly of methane with lesser amounts of ethane, propane, butane and heavier hydrocarbons known collectively as the pentane-plus fraction. Where possible, methane will, be supplied direct to the consumer by pipeline after removal of the impurities and other hydrocarbons. The latter are usually liquefied by a process involving compression and cooling, and individual constituents can be separated by fractionation. The liquid propane or butane or a mixture of the two is referred to as liquefied petroleum gas (LPG). This can be purchased in portable steel containers as color gas for use as a fuel for heating, cooking and lighting. The residual gas - methane, ethane and small amounts of propane - may be liquified and transported by tanker if it cannot be piped to its destination. This mixture is known as liquified natural gas.
