Date :Définition
The Communist International organized in 1919 to spread and promote communism throughout the world and to promote proletarian revolutions wherever possible. Meetings of Communist from various countries in Moscow in 1920 led to the formation of a policy of infiltrating the labor movements of the Western countries.
Notes :
The organization established in the United States in 1921 was the Trade Union Education League, under the leadership of William Z. Foster. International communism made a strong bid in the 1920's by "boring from within" the American Federation of Labor through the development of militant and aggressive programs and policies and working to establish class conscious unions. The Communist International was officially dissolved in 1943 but reincarnated in the Cominform (Communist Information Bureau) in 1947.
