A contraceptive device, usually made of latex rubber, which is placed against the uterine cervix to block the passage of spermatozoa and to hold spermicidal cream or jelly.
Note :
Contraceptive diaphragms are usually fitted by a physician but are applied by the woman herself prior to sexual intercourse and not worn otherwise.
