Notes :
Employé au singulier, terme équivalent à sol, considéré en tant que matériau composite.
Au pluriel, éléments granulaires d'un matériau reconstitué, tel que mortier, béton, enrobé, etc. En géotechnique routière, on utilise plutôt le terme de granulats.
