Définition :
Chromatographie qui met en jeu la capacité d'un polymère artificiel d'échanger des ions (cations ou anions) avec la substance à purifier.
Note :
L'élément « échanges » du syntagme « chromatographie par échanges d'ions » prend le pluriel parce qu'il se produit plus d'un échange d'ions au cours de la chromatographie.
