  Many other physical forms of Mozzarella exist besides the traditional 1/2 and 5 pounds blocks and the new 40 pound blocks. These include shredded, sliced, ground, cubed and chunked forms, usually packed in laminated polyethylene bags, evacuated, and gassed with nitrogen and carbon dioxide to give excellent shelf life.
