  Note :

  The deep sedimentary basins along the eastern canadian margin are separated from one another by mid-ocean platforms, regions of little sediment cover. For example, the Yarmouth Arch separates Georges Bank Basin from the Scotian Basin, and the Okak Arch separates the Hopedale and Saglek basins.
