Un ensemble est défini si on peut dire de tout objet qu'il appartient ou non à cet ensemble.
Note :
Un ensemble peut être défini de deux manières : a) soit par l'énumération de ses éléments (définition en extension); b) soit par l'énonciation d'une propriété caractéristique de ses éléments (définition en compréhension).
