  Définition

  The mixing of the waters of a lake in the temperate zone when the summer thermal stratification ends. Most northern lakes also experience a spring overturn.
  
  The period of mixing of previously stratified water masues which occur in the spring and autumn when water temperatures in the lake are uniform.
