  Définition

  An empty cylinder absorbing heat at one end by vaporization of a liquid andreleasing heat at the other end by condensation of the vapour.

  Note :

  The liquid returns to the heat absorbing end by capillarity through a capillary structure covering the internal face of the cylinder. The heat transfer of a heat pipe may be 10,000 times or more higher than that of copper or silver.
