  Définition

  Wove papers are those which do not exhibit the wire marks known as laid lines; they are made, if the paper is hand-made, by means of a woven wire mould and if machine-made, by means of a dandy-roll with a wove cover or without a dandy-roll at all. ((...)) The wove paper, as it is called ((...)) is a very superior article to the old paper, particularly for books, but a prejudice still prevails in favour of the old paper with lines ((...)).
