S'occupe de tout ce qui touche à la communication (d'informations) : les télécommunications : communications à distance; ou radiocommunications : communications télégraphiques et téléphoniques par les ondes hertziennes.

Pour le service Transmissions-Communications : participera aux recherches et développement de nouveaux projets sur le réseau national d'agences, assurera la maintenance des installations, animera des groupes de travail.
