Date :Définition
Made of metal throughout; it is a combination of the small Huka (Indian water pipe) and of the Japanese/Chinese metal pipes of type Kiseru.
Note :
Their bowl is very small. The tobacco is cut fine, then (as the Kiseru) twisted into small, slightly moistened balls which are filled into the pipe bowl. The Chinese water pipe consists in fact of complete set of smoking requisites, i.e. of the pipe proper, a tobacco container and a compartment for keeping the pincette, cleaning brush, etc. The pipe itself can be taken out of the kit. The Chinese water pipe is technically a genuine Huka, i.e. only the tube leading from the pipe bowl reaches right into the water container. The smoking tube is rather an upwards extension of the water container.
