Tissu conjonctif lâche, entre les mailles duquel se trouve une substance fondamentale muqueuse, qu'on trouve dans le cordon ombilical.

Note :

C'est le seul reliquat du mésenchyme extraembryonnaire primitif représentant le magma réticulé du blastocèle.

The soft, jelly-like, homogeneous intercellular substance of the umbilical cord.

It gives the reaction for murcin and contains thin collagenous fibers which increase in number with the age of the fetus.
