  Secretion from the male or the female beaver.
  
  Prized fixative ((...)) used in minute amounts to give a spicy or oriental note to perfumes such as chypres, ambers and heavy floral bouquets.

  Note :

  It is collected in a gland which produces an oily substance in which the beavers rub themselves in order to protect their fur from being soaked in the water.
