Épisome responsable du type sexuel chez les entérobactériacées; il fonctionne comme un conjugon, c'est-à-dire qu'il confère à la bactérie qui le possède l'aptitude à fonctionner comme mâle et à se lier par un pont cytoplasmique à une bactérie femelle.
