  A ceremonial dinner, held on the first night of Passover by Reform Jews and Jews in Israel or on both the first and second nights by Orthodox and Conservative Jews outside of Israel, that includes the reading of the Haggadah, the eating of specified foods symbolic of the Israelites'bondage in Egypt and of the Exodus, and singing of traditional songs.
