Définition

A nonspecific serologic test for syphilis that uses heat-inactivated serum and an antigen preparation of cardiolipin, lecithin, cholesterol, and alcohol. Flocculation, at the end point, read either microscopically in the slide procedure or macroscopically in the tube technique, indicates a positive reaction.
