  Définition

  Many psychological notions such as believing, imagining and wanting are said to be intentional in that they are directed outwards at some, possibly imaginary, object.

  Note :

  An intentional explanation of all action is an explanation in terms of this kind of psychological notion, rather than in behavioural or physiological terms. The meaning of "intentional" in "intentional action" is a distinct, though related, meaning.
