Note :

An imaging method in which the images that are reconstructed reveal the distribution of a radioactive nuclide in the body.
Note :
Emission computed tomography (ECT) provides quantitative images of isolated cross-sectional slices of the body, with no overlying or underlying structures. This technique also called reconstructive tomography, is identical in principle to x-ray computed tomography (CT scanning), except that radiation emitted from the radionuclide inside the body is measured rather than radiation transmitted from an external x-ray source.
